First brand new car! 2015 Fit EX

https://i.imgur.com/AE4ecbP.jpg

After much research and test driving the wife and I decided on a pearl white EX model with 11 miles on the clock. We are very excited and already love it and coming from a vehicle that gets 8 mpg I started laughing when we were on our way back from showing it off to my in laws 30 miles away and the fuel gauge had only gone down one square!! So anyway, I plan on being an active part of this community and look forward to many years of fun driving! I do plan on leaving it stock for a while but down the road I will drop it on some black wheels, smoke the lights upgrade the speakers and exhaust and maybe even turbo we will see.

Congrats on your new car! What did you own previously that had such bad fuel economy?

LOL a 1990 Range Rover, the all time 4 wheel drive sounds awesome but isn't too practical.

Same here. Just bought a fit. Replacing my dodge ram 2500 5.7. Now I drive and before I had to stop in a weekly basis on the gas station to refill it with at least 100 dollars. NOw, it is 50 dollars and I still have 3/4 of tank remain. It is just an awesome little car. Even my dad saw it and say "i need to replace my suburban 2011 with one of these, they are so practical".

Weolcome to the Fit comunity.

Congratulations and welcome to the community!! My Fit is also the first brand new vehicle I have ever purchased. It is quite a good feeling to have the peace of mind knowing that you do not have to question its mechanical and/or accident history.

Just out of curiosity, how much were you spending on gas every month in the Land Rover?

Approximately 500 ish a month, I commute 30 miles each way to work and between that and running errands and stuff I was filling the tank 4-5 times a week and it costs 35 bucks right now to fill from empty

Ouch? That's cheap! It's 6.2 a gallon here in Uruguay (and that's for 88, a 90 octane gas costs 6.43).

That's why the Fit is the BIG car in the family, my wife drives a Peugeot 107 (three cyl 1 litre engine with 69hp)

She gets around 39 in city driving, but she does very short conmuting, she lives 5 minutes away from work so most of the driving is done with the engine not up to temperature. I never chequed highway milage as the car is almost used in the city (though once I was caught by the highway patrol at 95 in it).

Good luck with rear wheel alignment especially IF you plan on driving it A LOT and for many years to come plus the place where yours is now built vs. where they used to build first generation Fit, yours is in MEXICO vs. 2007 model in JAPAN.
Other than these two major issues, not a bad little car at all.
Enjoy it and drive safely.

Because everything made in Japan is superior to what's built in Mexico, eh? "Major issues"...

OP - congrats on your new purchase. No regrets on mine...
