After much research and test driving the wife and I decided on a pearl white EX model with 11 miles on the clock. We are very excited and already love it and coming from a vehicle that gets 8 mpg I started laughing when we were on our way back from showing it off to my in laws 30 miles away and the fuel gauge had only gone down one square!! So anyway, I plan on being an active part of this community and look forward to many years of fun driving! I do plan on leaving it stock for a while but down the road I will drop it on some black wheels, smoke the lights upgrade the speakers and exhaust and maybe even turbo we will see.

LOL a 1990 Range Rover, the all time 4 wheel drive sounds awesome but isn't too practical.

Weolcome to the Fit comunity.
Congratulations and welcome to the community!! My Fit is also the first brand new vehicle I have ever purchased. It is quite a good feeling to have the peace of mind knowing that you do not have to question its mechanical and/or accident history.
Just out of curiosity, how much were you spending on gas every month in the Land Rover?

$50 to fill you tank? Gas is $5/gallon down there? Ouch!

Ouch? That's cheap! It's 6.2 a gallon here in Uruguay (and that's for 88, a 90 octane gas costs 6.43).
That's why the Fit is the BIG car in the family, my wife drives a Peugeot 107 (three cyl 1 litre engine with 69hp)

What's the mpg on the Peugeot?

She gets around 39 in city driving, but she does very short conmuting, she lives 5 minutes away from work so most of the driving is done with the engine not up to temperature. I never chequed highway milage as the car is almost used in the city (though once I was caught by the highway patrol at 95 in it).
Good luck with rear wheel alignment especially IF you plan on driving it A LOT and for many years to come plus the place where yours is now built vs. where they used to build first generation Fit, yours is in MEXICO vs. 2007 model in JAPAN.
Other than these two major issues, not a bad little car at all.
Enjoy it and drive safely.
