I keep mine around 1-3 years, then normally sell for profit or even money, and repeat.

I won't either, anymore. My last one was the straw that broke the camel's back. And I used to work for them.

I owned a 1989 Dodge minivan and still drive my 2000 Dodge minivan. For the past ~27 years, they have been the most useful and reliable cars I have ever owned. I can carry 10 foot long lumber in my 2000. I have even carried eight sheets of 3/4" plywood in it with the hatch closed. In ten years I hope I love my Fit as much as I love my two minivans.

My problems with them have been the electronics. Very unreliable in all the ones I have had in the past 20 years. Stratus, Durango, 3 Wranglers and PT Cruiser

89 CRX ---> 2000 Civic ---> 2013 Fit Sport. We'll keep until body corrosion or 200K
The 2000 Civic was private sale to friend, still going strong.
Other DD - 2008 Chevy Malibu LTZ V6 - 140K miles - still going strong. I'll keep this car until it hits 300K.

2005 Mustang GT Premium Convertible (with lots of mods) - Safely tucked in garage, under cover and has 50K miles on it. Will keep until the mods eat my wallet or they take my license away, or both. :-)
