Fuel problem
Wife put diesel in our 2007 Honda fit. Trying to siphon it out, not finding the supply line from fuel tank.

There is a recent thread about a gas pipe removal. It has details on the supply line. From the gas cap it is a long route. Someone else tried to siphon out some bad gas and was unsuccessful. The gas tank is below the front seats. You'll need to go to a garage to do this.
Good luck. And try not to be too hard on the wife. She has the ability to get you when you least expect it. |
you will need to drain tank, fuel lines & rail, etc etc etc. she will smoke like a bitch for a bit but should be ok.
Too bad they dont have drain petcock in fuel tanks anymore Good luck tho..... |

watch my video to get an idea how to reach the tank, if you can reach it use a hose to take the diesel out, the tank neck has a kind of valve, but I think you can slip a thin hose thro it to the tank, otherwise you should go from up, you must remove everything between the driver seat and the passenger seat where the fuel pump located at, remove the pamper and get the diesel out, then remove the injectors and run them outside of the car so they just squirt out a bunch of the diesel fuel.
please leave a like on my YouTube if you like the video :) Good luck |
problem solved
Neighbor is mechanic for Honda, showed me where fuel line was, it's on the firewall under a cover, 2 bolts to remove cover, removed clip and opened fuel line. He had a modified fuel relay, (blue relay under dash) he had contacts shorted out and ecm pin cut off. Hooked hose to line and turned on ignition for fuel pump to run continuously. Worked great. I guess I owe my neighbor.
