Roof rack

any recommendations on roof racks? also wondering if a basket would interfere with the antennae

I just ordered a Thule rack. All together, was just over $400 brand new, but I did some shopping and picked up an older set for the bars and a fairing, so saved a little bit there.

As for your roof basket question, I haven't seen any that would interfere. Saw one somebody had rigged to a Yakima rack (not endorsed by Yakima), but I don't think it interfered at all.

I'm also looking for a rack for a basket but I want something to sit low close to the roof. Ive seen some that are high and look somewhat goofy. Don't want that look. What comes with the Thule rack for 400$? I there and older rack that will fit a 2016 ? Don't want to spend too much on a rack. Does yours have clamp or screwed into the roof?

Mine is a clamp system and does remove easily, but it is kinda high up from the roof. $400 gets you bars, feet, and the car-specific clamps and pads. Even with the extra fairing, I still get a good amount of wind noise and reduced gas mileage, although I'm sure that's why they make the aero bars as well. Those are more expensive, but I don't remember how much.

There isn't an older system for the 15/16 models, but the bars from older systems are the same, if you can find a craigslist deal. It If youwant cheaper, Inno makes a system that I've heard is good too.

I have the complete rack by INNO, including wind fairing for sale, $150
