Did you try a Honda dealer?

Key is encoded to your specific car. Additional key price in Canada: $350CAD for LX. Go to your Honda Dealer. I have not heard of any other way to encode the key.

You should have received at least two keys if you purchased the car brand new.....Dealer owes you a working key?

OP says "second additional key", which would mean a "third" key.

At these prices, I miss being able to get a key made at the hardware store for $1.79.

I bought a car used with one key, dealer asked 185+tax, I'm not going to pay that.
so far I found that I can buy the oem key from amazon for 32 and take it to key smith to be cat and programs for 60-80
I will update

I'd like to know what happens to all those "missing" keys. The original owner got two keys, but only turned one in when he/she traded the car.

Any Honda dealer can make a key for your vehicle but you have to take your vehicle to that dealer so they can code the electronics.

I had a entry key made so I could lock my keys in my car and stash the door key in my PFD when I'm paddling. $15 and works like a charm. Ordered it over the phone from my dealer and it was sent to me in the mail.

Car salespeople lose a tremendous number of car keys.

It's like the laundry: two socks enter, one sock leaves.

Bach, now that's funny :D

Here's the real quote:

"Listen on! Listen on! This is the truth of it. Fighting leads to killing, and killing gets to warring, and that was damn near the death of us all. Look at us now, busted up and everyone talking about hard rain! But we've learned! By the dust of them all, Bartertown learned. Now, when men get to fighting, it happens here, and it finishes here! Two men enter; one man leaves.

And now, I've got two men — two men with a gut full of fear. Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, dying time's here!

Thunderdome's simple. Get to the weapons. Use them any way you can. I know you won't break the rules. There aren't any."

so far best deal I found is on ebay for $120, you send a picture for your key and they cut a key for your according to the picture, then they send you the new keys with the programing device, program the key and send the device back to them, all for $120.

The best answer is to demand a replacement for a missing key as a condition of buying the used car.

A franchised dealer can do this for a lot less than you'd pay,

That's what I did and the used car dealer was happy to oblige when I asked. Regarding lost keys, I'm surprised that car dealers don't ask about missing keys when they make their purchases. Yeah, no way I'd own a car with one set of keys.
