Scotchgard film for 2017 EX 6MT, Front bumper, fenders, & hood

Hey everyone,

I see this kit on ebay, has anyone tackled installing the clear poly film from 3M onto the front end? It looks pretty easy long as you take your time and do a good through cleaning before hand.

Honda Fit 2015 2016 Precut 3M Scotchgard Paint Protection Clear Bra Kit | eBay

It seems this kit only does half the hood. Has anyone figured out what size sheet would cover the entire hood?

Any suggestions on this kit, or should I buy large sheets and cut to fit?

FYI, my mirrors will be modded to have EX-L mirrors on an EX, so the cutout will have to fit that trim level.

My advice would be to pay someone to do this for you. I had to cut my own 3M protection, and it took forever. I had to use a heat gun to shape it around some curves, like the hood and headlights. I didn't even want to do the front nose, or mirrors.

If you do decide to tackle this, then follow the instructions carefully, particularly the amount of alcohol mix for the 2nd spray, as that is what promotes adhesion.

I cut some oval shaped protection forr the inside of the door handles, where everybody's finger nails loves to scratch the door paint.

Ill get some costing to see how much to have it done. Im expecting it will be way more expensive than I want to pay. Ill likely tackle myself.

Yes I will certainly be doing the handle ovals. Females and their nails....

You will find that the cost will be a lot less for readily-available 'templates' (as in, the lower half of the hood). Custom fitting (as in, the entire hood, if it's not available, pre-cut) will take a great deal more time and cost.

Found this kit. 3M Scotchgard PRO Series Paint Protection Film Kit Fits 2016 Honda Fit EX, LX | eBay

Looks like this will give me what I need. I can also pickup a small roll of 3M film for around the door handles so my wife's nails don't ruin the finish.

The how to videos are pretty good. I am confident I can tackle this no problem on my own.
