Whats up guys! Just bought my 2017 Honda Fit (base model) a couple months ago. Just wanted to share some pictures and some of the things I've done so far.
* Lowered the car with some Tein S.Tech Lowering Springs
*tinted all windows
*added a custom made red shift boot that was pretty hard to make work.
*Blox shift knob :wiggle::vtec:
hoping to get some wheels next!

Welcome. I also have a 2017 manual in white -- EX trim.

Did the blox knob fit your stock shift boot ring?

you can make the stock shift boot fit with any aftermarket shift knob but you won't be able to clip/hold up the boot to the aftermarket shift knob. The silver adapter is only made for oem shift knobs. For aftermarket knobs You can either have the boot loose and just hanging down or you can remove the silver plastic piece and then just buy a shift knob adapter and zip tie it to the boot to hold it up.

What do you think of the spoiler?

Oh, and a beautiful car, of course!

Sharp looking car, but in all honesty I just don't like the gaudy look of the red boot.

Did you use suede for the shift boot? Did you make it yourself or did you buy it. The shift boot looks like it is a tad floppy.

Otherwise it looks nice.

Any comments on the ride quality of the Tein springs?

I have Swift springs on my GK. Personally I like it, but my dog hates the ride. Wondering if the Tein springs, with softer spring rates, may help ride quality, in terms of harshness.

nice color choice!

That shift knob looks good. I just ordered a Blox shift knob last night in the electric blue color.

I'm embarrassed because I still haven't taken any pictures of my 2016.
My profile picture is of my old 2010.

I don't know why, I just haven't gotten around to having the vehicle clean, and an area or nice day, to take a picture or two...coinciding.

Nice job! Beautiful car. Does the dark tinted windows make it hard to see outside. One of the upgrades I plan on doing is the dark tinted windows. I'm just not sure how dark I want to go. Thanks for your help.

I can only compare my 2016 Honda Fit EX CVT to my now departed 2010 Honda Fit Sport Automatic.

My 16 EX has more bells and whistles, including the keyless entry and push button start. Most notably the EX has a sunroof which I really like.
IMO the 16 has a more homogenized and refined interior. It doesn't have the "Through the Looking Glass" number of cup holders and spaces for storage the 2010 had. I think I really liked the 2010's interior better. Dual Glove Boxes, and the almost whimsical sloping curving dashboard layout. For a mainstream vehicle being sold by Honda, it was a pretty unique layout. The 2016 is nice, but sitting in it, is like sitting behind the wheel of any number of vehicles.

I enjoy driving the 16 it's good, but it's driving feel seems balanced a little bit more towards that homogenized, refined feel. It's a little more smooth for long drives, but it does lack that go-kart feel that I liked about my 2010.
I think my MPG are a little better with the CVT and my 2016.

As you have learned, eventually we have to move on. I like my 2016, pound for pound it's probably a better vehicle. To be honest? I think I enjoyed my 2010 more.

I feel that same as you, fitchet. I had a 2008 MT Sport with over 263k on it. The day after Christmas I got into an accident. I now have a 2017 MT EX Fit. While I don't hate it, I do miss things about my 2008 model that kept going and going. I do like the keyless entry and push button start of the 2017 EX. I feel like I'm driving a rental car and it feels a bit stiff. My MPG stills seems to work out about the same between both of them.

did u guys do taht thing, where you scroll down too far.... and posted in a totally diff thread?

lol!

well .... lets keep it going! have you guys considered making the gk handle more go-kart-like? IE, rigid collars, stiffer bushings, hardened torque rod mounts? braces, sway bars, etc?

inkeye 01-11-2019 10:59 AM

Haha. Probably. I don't remember this site doing that before. Now I know where some of my post replies are disappearing to.
