CMDroid: Has anyone tried to install?

The program unlocks settings in the OS of the stereo and allows android apps to be installed such as Spotify, Google Maps, Waze, YouTube etc.

Looking around on another Honda forum a lot of people have success installing on their Civics and CRV's but I have only found one group from the UK who have installed on their Jazz and some have had problems.

Typical xda, there's 198 pages. This will take some time!

Nibbled the first 10 pages...

This is a thread about Honda Connect, available in Europe, but is still really interesting. Honda Connect is not Honda Link. Honda Connect uses Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.4. What the Europeans are trying to do is, from the car, turn on developer mode, enable 'allow unknown sources', then using a laptop connect using adb, gain root access with something like SuperSU, then download/sideload their own apps. They are trying to root and crack the Honda infotainment system just like an android phone.

You sign in with an email address, then do the download of the Aha radio app, AhaRadio_A1.apk. This app seems to be encrypted using your email address, so everyone gets a different version. This will be harder to crack.

They are trying to bypass security with known ICS exploits. The usb port may only allow read and may only be a one way media port. Some have connected with adb but do not have permissions to install supersu or add/change any files.

190 pages to go...

1. go to hidden menù (press brightness + menù + power on, and then tap on the bottom option);

Can someone try this?
