Awesome thread! Your car looks great!

Have any SRS issues switching to the low max seat?

Hey Thanks for checking it out bro! I did run into the SRS issues, but that was quickly resolved after installing a 2.2OHM resistor from vetco.net.

A fellow member USDS, has this explained in his build thread with pics!

Are you swapping in a new seat soon?

Its been almost 10 years since my last set of Volks (last time was in my 99 Subaru Impreza 2.5RS (GC8) and still excited im finally on another set, but with a more aggressive set up. So far I've notice with the extra width and sportier tires (compared to the econo Hankook Ventus II's) and the wheels being a tad lighter, I feel like i am on rails! I haven't experimented the limits of breaking yet even with the SS lines now installed, but i can definitely feel significant breaking response and initial bite during normal operation.

I just got my 65mm to 56.1mm center hub rings and plan to throw those on as well this weekend. I still cant get off of my mind the gap that exists between the center bore of my TEs to the wheel hubs.. Even after the alignment, I am not sure if I am imagining that the car vibrates at Highway speeds due to the absence of the centric hub rings, but I want those on immediately for peace of mind..mind you I had centric hub rings on my last wheel setup, no vibrations then.

ZERO RUBBING. Even with my 240lb nephew riding in the backseat and going over bumps on the highway.

Car looks great, lots of good info in this thread too!

Just curious if you ran into any issues with the RS spoiler? Did you install yourself or have it done by a shop?

Thanks for checking out the thread! I installed the RS wing myself, direct bolt on, just had to tuck the factory window wash sprayer away and plug it up since it cant be used with the wing.

thx 4 showing me those beautiful rolled fender pix! as predicted, the fit barely has much "lip" to roll in stock form. but additional clearance is always welcome!

wait..so if u get the RS wing, u have to lose your rear washer spray?!

You are most welcome! If you noticed in the pics, the guy who rolled my fenders also cuts portions of the inner well plastic shroud.

The REP RS Wing I purchased on Aliexpress doesn't have an opening in order for me to use the stock rear washer spray. I could have drilled/cut-out an area for it, but didn't want to take a chance on it, I waited over a month for it to get here and just wanted it on.

The other REPS available (via Ebay, Amazon) require professional body work to get bolted on. I would have gone real JDM, but that requires the entire JDM Hatch...

I paid US $ 179.48 shipped, and comes painted. I'll have to see if I took any pictures between the install but if you look at the online shop pictures of the wing, you'll get an idea. Here's the link:

Do you have another link for the wing by chance? All the ones on AliExpress look the same, and same as the ones on eBay. Really interested if it just bolts on! Although I do use my rear wiper spray occasionally.

Really wish the aftermarket would get USDM friendly already!
