HardRace

So I just stumbled upon some good info on suspension parts available for our GKs. I wouldn't be surprised if someone had already shared this website, but looks like they got a nice product line:

HARDRACE GLOBAL

Braces, Bushings, Rear adjusting spacers etc..!

Anyone try their products?

TougeMonster_GK5 07-07-2017 11:29 AM

I believe Hardrace has been around longer than Megan. I know serious Honda track guys running Hardrace parts so I bought a set of their camber kits for my EM1 but never got installed as I sold the car.

They got back to me and are able to sell me the parts I inquired. Here is the price listing:

No. 8615 - Rear Adjusting Spacer - $120.64
No. 7747 - Front Lower Arm Bushing - $42.00
No. 7749 - Front Lower Arm Bushing (Front/Big) - $68.00
No. 7258 - Front Reinforced Strut Mount - $52.00
No. 7815 - Front Roll Center Adjuster - $155.00
No. 7857 - Front Reinforced Stab. Link - $62.58
No. 7769 - Front Lower Brace - $62.00
No. 7772 - Rear Center Brace Bar - $31.00

Shipping will cost $38.00 for a total of $631.22. I want to say labor for installing the lower arm bushings (given i remove the lower arms myself and reinstall) would be about $100.

The GK would be rock solid then. I wonder how much more of rigidity the chassis would gain adding the Spoon Sports Rigid Collar Kit..

Anyone have any experience with adding this many suspension upgrades??! Please chime in brothas and sistas!~

If you don't mind experience from the previous generation:

Strictly speaking, Rigid Collar doesn't add rigidity, but it does work as advertised. I use a copy of it called Stiff Ring on my GE. If you don't have it yet, you should also consider a 2 pt. lower arm bar, like the one J's Racing sells.

I'll be adding Hardrace bushings and RCA ball joint soon; just need to find the time to get it done. Other than a stab to the wallet, I don't see any downside to these upgrades. Especially is you touge every now and then.

Hardrace is way better products than Megan. I had lots of the parts on my 98 civic track car. Now i have a 2015 fit and would like to find parts.
Where u think I can but their products. I dont think any shops In Canada will have them yet. Did you price it out on hardrace global ??

mike410b 03-04-2018 09:51 AM

Megan & hardrace both just put their stickers on other generic taiwanese parts.

lol'ed......

Still no answer to my question. Not interested in bashing brands just personal opinion from experience. When i was building my EK hardrace was the only brand caring spherical bushing. Also the
quality of workmanship was excellent.

What's up man! The parts+pricing I shared in earlier in the thread was priced out directly by Hardrace global sales.

After attempting to make an order, a month or so ago they suddenly became very silent. I haven't called yet, but maybe I should. Need to order the Roll Center adjusters and several of their under carriage braces.

Just reach out to them directly if you hadn't done so yet. Share with us how it goes! Am actually thinking of the Megan Roll Center Adjusters instead since theyre easily avail. in Cali.

I sent them a msg but no reply. I dont know why

jdmtrocki 03-05-2018 09:48 PM

I don t know why buy I feel like their is not much parts for the GKs. Never had that issue with my 98 civic. Would it be cause the car is still new ???

mike410b 03-05-2018 09:56 PM

Anything you want is probably for sale.

And to compare literally any car to an 88-00 Civic/94-01 Integra is not a fair comparison for parts availability. That's one of the most modified cars ever.

Pardon the lateness of my reply; I don't visit much these days.

I ordered from https://www.hardracesuspension.com.au/
Products are shipped from Taiwan.

Thanks for sharing! What did you order if you dont mind sharing? Also how long will shipping take for where you are located.

Thanks!

There's not so many parts available for the Fit because there's not so many people modifying cars as there were in the 90's, and because the ones that are tuning Hondas are probably working on the turbo engines in Civics with better suspension than the Fit has.

I don't mind at all.
I ordered extended ball joints, lower arm bushings and stab. links. Shipping took about 3 weeks from Taiwan to Manila. Finally had them installed last week. Planning to order shock mounts and engine mounts later on.
