Need to solve my wheel poke problem...rally armour?

Hey all. So I got a KILLER deal on some rims and rubber..was just looking around for some used tires as I need new tires for my 2015 fit and I found these...anyhow I love the look of them flush at the back but they poke out in the front about an inch, personally this doesn't bother me look wise. I don't get any rubbing so that's good.

Problem is that inch that sticks out flings rocks and gravel into the side of the car and my mirror. I've considered flares but they get skinny towards the bottom and I don't think they would help much. I e seen the pics on here of folks with rally armor flaps (universal), I like the look and I THINK they would block high and low enough to stop the spray. Anyone have these installed? Is it fairly easy? Can you use the existing screw holes from the weenie little mud guard in the front?

wow, completely wrong offsets.

not sure if you want to try, but they sell universal decorative fender flare trim pieces using faux CF on ebay and i think amazon. check it out.

Yeah, you bought the wrong wheels.

If you got such a KILLER deal then it won't be too hard to sell them and make a couple bucks or at least get your money back? Then you can buy some wheels that have a more reasonable offset for your car and fit better

put your stock rims back on.

I got the including the tires for $100, nearly no wear on the rubber so I didn't care if they fit or not, figuring I could just sell them if they didn't. Thing is new tires for my stock 15" steel wheels is gonna run me $400-500 bucks so I was just looking for ways to keep these ones. I can't afford a set of rims AND new tires.

lol nice edit!

I get it, it's funny but I was super bummed when I realized all the spray coming up (they just paved around here, so lots of loose gravel). I've wanted nice rims since I bought my first fit in '08! Thought I hit the lucky man jackpot, but alas as usual I have zero luck!

xxryu139xx 08-12-2017 02:06 PM

zero luck?

u mean zero offset!

Macswfc 08-12-2017 02:27 PM

Meh, it's probably like 21. They make the wheels with +42 and + 21 I'm guessing these are the 21s...quite wide as well.

Macswfc 08-12-2017 03:25 PM

+40 offset ok you figure?

You can't afford tires but you drive a car that is only 2ish years old? You've got your financial priorities out of wack.

kenchan 08-12-2017 04:50 PM

haha mike. :D

7" et40 will still poke just a little bit (per my standards, flush for others) on the front but would be a much nicer fit than wat you have now. how about you get 2 new ET40 wheels and swap just the fronts since you like your rears flush?

or just swap all 4

kenchan 08-12-2017 04:52 PM

oh wait those are entirely new wheels.. in this case, get all 4 swapped.

Ya well things change in life my man. Mainly my wife losing her job and myself having to get a second to make up for it. Plus my disabled son has had many complications lately. Thanks for your input though.

PS ya I suck at money too lol

Cool. As long as I can sell the ones I bought the price will more or less equal out to the cost of new tires (a bit extra) which I will need to buy regardless of wether I get new rims anyways. As long as they don't rub I'll be happy. What tire size could you recommend for the wheels? The tires on the current wheels I bought are 205/50 and thank you for your help, it's appreciated.
