Sun shade recommendations for 2018 Fits?

I'm looking for a sun shade for my new Fit but all the ones on Amazon say they won't fit the 2018 cars. Can anyone recommend one?

If it fits the 2015-17 it'll fit an 18.

This is what I use:Sunshade It folds and I store it between passenger seat and door.

That sun shade you linked, on Amazon there's a billion results for it and none of them say they fit a Fit, even 2015 Fit. Could you link me the exact one you have?

Got it at AA: Intro-Tech Automotive Ultimate Reflector Car Sun Shade

Smart that they have one w/ the HondaSens and w/o.

One thing to look for if you care....
Is I bought a custom fit sunshade online for my 2010 Fit. It was nice, and it came with side flaps that also covered the side cut out windows.

I bought a "Custom Fit" sunshade for my 2016...at the dealership, and was kind of disappointed that it did NOT extend to cover the side windows.

Can I say this difference really results in a significant feeling of the vehicle being hotter?
Not really.
But I think I liked my older one that actually provided that added coverage.

I went with this one - https://tinyurl.com/ydhuztxs. I love that it is out of sight when not in use and that its easy to use and put away. On a downside, it does not cover the entire windshield and its likely not as good at keeping the heat completely out. But just for the convenience of having it easily hidden, I can live with it.

thats cool overdrive. do you have to actually mount something on the car's a-pillar? the link showed a bracket so was just wondering.

i do like that accordion design.

Overdrive 12-04-2017 01:41 PM

Yes, it comes with three mounting pieces. Two for the larger accordion shade and one for the other side to latch it to. Easy install instructions, took me about 20 mins to do (and I'm slow lol). It just uses double-sided tape if I recall correctly. Never had any problems with it after installing it.

thanks for the info overdrive!

I believe the best way to keep the car cool is to put the reflective shade on the OUTSIDE of the car. This prevents the heat from ever getting INSIDE the car. My shade is the biggest one I could find. I made sure it was big enough so the upper corners could be tucked in the door jambs and reach down to the wipers.

Where I am the wind is frequently very strong. Something like that on the outside would get ripped off in no time at all. You're right that outside would be best for heat protection, but other factors like the wind make that impractical for many.

I use an introtech one. seems to get the job done and beats the heck out of nothing at all

I use this
one one
on my 2017. The only thing I hate about it is that you have to roll it... which isn't very convenient to do inside a car. But I got to say it really does fit perfectly. Even covers those tiny side windows.

I went with one from weathertech. They're a perfect fit for our windshield.

Your logic is sound, but i'd be afraid it would look retarded, and as a result (some Neanderthal would help it) grow legs...

I bought this at my local Wally's for under $13: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Auto-Driv...ches/118043886

I bought the jumbo size thinking the expanse of windshield would need it, but I could've gotten the standard size; just one shade covers maybe 2/3 of the windshield. But, it's super easy and because they're oversized I don't have to fret about lining things up just right - just untwist 'em and throw 'em in place. They sit at angles so the rear-view mirror holds them up well enough and I don't need to futz with the sun visors. And they work great.

I got this particular set because it was the only one that went with my Helios Yellow 2018 Fit. But there are other colors and patterns available, in both standard and jumbo sizes.

This is the way to go. I've received compliments on my Mexican-style throw rug. No one is going to steal mine from the parking lot at work.
What would really be nice would be to cut it to fit the windshield then add quick tie-downs to the mirrors.
