CarPlay not recognizing iPhone
CarPlay worked well for a month but now does not recognize that my phone is plugged in. Has any one expierienced this and, hopefully, found a solution? Thank you Josh |
I had this happen a month or so ago on my 2018 EX-L. Would not recognize my phone or my wife's phone.
What the internet told me to do: 1) Update to latest iOS 2) Try another APPLE CERTIFIED lightning cable 3) Disconnect negative battery terminal for >30s to reset head unit After doing this it did not immediately fix the problem and I was prepared to call the dealer the next day. Got in my car for work the next morning, plugged in, everything worked. *SHRUG* |
Thank you for the thoughtful response. I will follow the steps now. |
Turn phone off and then on.

I think that blocked the car seeing the CarPlay and after deleting it maybe the headhunt was stuck in that mode. Nevertheless it is back in business. Thank you. |
as soon as u plug your iphone into the HU, the hard connection takes over. if your bt is blocking something, then your HU is not working properly.
