Factory Flood

Factory Flood
Just got out of the dealer shopping for a new fit
I found out that there are currently no white 2019 fit sports with manual transmissions in existence, because that factory flooded!
if you had hoped to get a new 2019 sport, there aren't any coming from the factory anytime soon
They said one of the other models comes from there as well, not sure which
Thought people would be interested
(I put $500 down and they're hunting for a white 2018 sport manual! They said there's 4 in the country, I think)

What tint did you go with? What percentage is that? Mind sharing how much you paid? I'm looking to do the same to mine. Thanks

It looks like that was a problem for some of the first years, but I don't see any reports past 2016. Has anyone reported that on 2017+ years?
Probably teething pains with the mexican factories. Inside knowledge from an automotive company trying to set up a factory in Texas, they had tons of paint issues. Eventually it came to a head with management and things got straightened out.
Hopefully they have the kinks worked out. None of the other current colors appeal to me, if we can't get white new we'll probably start looking used. Those green ones were pretty good looking. Mayyybe black, definitely not red. Unfortunately any other color and the sport trim red accents don't look right. I suppose there is always plastidip

About the $35K? Sure, make me an offer...
Fulltiming it in a Airstream? That's really cool; someday the Gillig Phantom will be our home...

The airstream is pretty cool, we just got one in good shape and jumped in face first, thread here http://www.airforums.com/forums/f311/magnet18s-1983-310-a-178802.html
They did make a 37' on a gillig bus chassis, btw, if you're interested in sliding sideways into the aluminum world
I love the look of the phantom. Form follows function always looks best, and a perfect rectangle is the perfect form for a bus, lol

I would be really interested in seeing a white 2018 and white 2019 next to each other
Apparently the change was significant enough honda felt the need to keep it secret by reusing 2018 stock photos! Lol

give ya 17.5k for it . Your thread is what sealed us on white though, awesome looking car. Looking at the years, I haven't been able to tell a difference in the whites online.

The whole plant got flooded when the river ran over. They’re down until mid November was the last notice I received.
It’s effecting my work and and I’m in Ohio. It’s an international economy these days. More or less North America is all connected when it comes to automotive. Mexico is just the final assembly point on this car.
