Water leak on rear drivers floormats

Aight, it's been rainy here, and the last 2 days when my wife gets home from work I've noticed water in the rear drivers floormat, i scratched my head and looked around and can't figure out where it's coming from

It's been some pretty bad storms, granted, but this is a new car and it still shouldn't be leaking like this, anyone else have this issue?

Given the location, probably the upper door gasket.

Leaks seemed to be relatively common on earlier GKs made in Mexico. That seemed to be resolved, though.

Door gaskets and sunroof drains, sometimes poorly sealed body panels were the culprits.

I checked the upper door seals, and they seem fine, so I guess that issue behind the door in the video is probably my problem, hopefully an easy fix since I'll be back there to replace the speakers anyway

thanks a lot for the video!

Mine Did that on the right front...the dealer replaced a door seal, all was good. This seems to be an issue.

Bummer, hopefully it's a quick fix through dealer. Good luck!

Bumping thread to see if you removed panel and what you did to fix the leak. I am getting water in back foot well now also.

So I'm 99% sure it was the seal issue in the linked video above, but I never actually did anything about it. It ended up going away on its own after a few weeks, not sure if a seal ended up forming a proper shape in the heat of the summer or what.

that was probably it , if that gutter in the door trim was collecting water after a rain , it was leaking past the plastic sheet behind the door panel . the panel itself is just a cover , it won't stop
any water that gathers behind it . on my front right door it was leaking past bottom of the speaker mount . resealed it and the problem never came back
