B-pillar scratched

I have some nasty scratches on driver side b-pillar vinyl. Really out of place, as the rest of the car is pristine...
Did anyone replace that part?
I know the replacement kit is available from Honda, but was thinking of trying gloss black instead...
I will be installing door visors soon and was going to take care of it first.
Suggestions?

id probably just hit it with the heat gun, peel it and do a new vinyl. these things always look faded and crappy on every car ive owned thanks to the new mexico sun.

ive also seen these metal ones fairly cheap on ebay..if nothing else the pic can give you a comparison shot of glossy vs matte

Alright, thanks - does the belt molding lift right up or is there a trick to it? (the trim piece along the bottom of the window)

yah, u should be able to get like 2mm under it. just enough tuck to prevent towels from catching while cleaning ur ride. but even if u had no tuck, if the vinyl is thin enough it should be fine. i have several pieces of vinyl on my other car and i wipe down with a MF towel all the time and no issue catching the edges.

Is this an eBay item or an OEM replacement? I have to replace mine also. It is the first car they were like this and I tried to polish one last year

I did replace it. Parts is cheap. Use a heat gun remove old one, clean it good and use vinyl solution to put on new one. I think they are about $23-27 a piece. Otherwise get a 3m matte vinyl film on ebay. Same material but you have to cur yourself and trim it. The oem are made by 3m too.

I wrapped it in vinyl (fake carbon fibre). It was a fingerprint magnet.
