Back Seats Won't Stay Down
 

Hey Fit Fam,

I'm encountering a weird issue that I can't find any info on: the back seats won't stay latched to the floor.

I've taken the foot guide apart and can't find anything wrong with it:

The foot goes into the guide, but doesn't lock.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Check closely how the other side latch works. The seat could be misaligned with the latch. How about loosening the two bolts that hold the seat in place and try latching it. If that is successful, tighten the bolts that hold the seat in place.

Strangely, both don't work. I've got an appointment at the dealer tomorrow and dread the expense that will produce, but I've been monkeying with it all afternoon to no avail. I did try loosening the seat bolts, and even then I couldn't get the seats to latch.

Set the back part to the more upright position, latch them on the floor and see if it helps.... it did for me... after that you may recline them and they wont pop out of the floor latch... at least THIS worked for me....
