DT's JDM GK5
Here are some pics of my build so far. Got the Fit in June as a commuter as my lifted Tundra was a gas guzzler. I've been out of the scene for quite a while after having my daughter. Had these cars over the course of my life (I'm 33 now): S13, S14, IS300, 350z, E92 335i, GTI, Golf R, E92 M3, GS350 F sport, TSX A-Spec, Civic HB Sport, and now a Tundra and Fit. I must say that this one is a keeper.
Suspension: Koni w/ Eibach springs (sold) Tein Flex Z w/ Powerflex bushings and Megan front RCA Wheels: Advan RZII 16x8 Volk Te37 Sonic 16x7 Next: Full JDM front and rear conversion (my current front and rear bumpers will be for sale) Spoon Brakes https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fit...7dcca4f882.jpg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fit...06c3cfb900.jpg https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fit...04e763d57c.jpg https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fit...6439fb6dfc.jpg https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fit...53813803b6.jpg https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fit...02b5e2f1a7.jpg https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fit...0ab626bd9e.jpg https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fit...5ffe37444a.jpg https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fit...207060f1b4.jpg https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fit...0d481cca5c.jpg https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fit...3c4954a7ae.jpg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fit...329ec0d253.jpg https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fit...3ace728916.jpg |

Fit looks good with those Volks

Very tastefull GK upgrades!!! It will certainly drive as good as it looks!!! Liking dem Volk's.
My favorite color too!!! WHITE! Having miserly fuel consumption (w/ the odo now at 47k, averaging 35.8mpg - beats my previous '07 GD's average of 28.5 mpg), excellent reliability, and, as regular maintenance is a total no-brainer for all generation Fits, our '15 will likewise, be a keeper!!! Introduced at Tokyo Motor Show yesterday, 2020 Fit/Jazz will becoming more van-like looking, although may have a bit more interior space. Power to remain the same. BTW, excellent looking Tundra!!! |
You have excellent taste in cars!
I gotta ask... you say this one is a keeper. I would have guessed otherwise, something along the lines of "god I miss the power of my E90/E92" or something along that line. Mind if I ask, how you came to that conclusion? |

Thanks Evil! I think it comes down to keeping something that's not reliable in the long run. I feel like the Fit can stick around as long as I do the regular maintenance on it.
I'm in the process of buying unreliable =) just picked up a bmw i3. next.... looking at f30 and f10 to replace the gk5. |
Here it is. First JDM conversion in the US.

So clean. Love how it looks.

Car looks hard. We've had similar cars over the years lol. Te's with the jap bumpers looks tough.
Seems like the jap bumpers are lower. Both in the front and the rear. Can you confirm? Also what were the specs on the advans? |
Any info how you wired up the jdm headlights?

That low, those wheels... [ drools ] ...and the super dark tint ties it together nicely. Well done!

Are those TE37 Sonics 16x7 +34? Was looking to do the same setup but the Sonic SLs. Mind sharing your tire size also? Thank you very much in advance.
