Chittymongorian's 2020 EX
So I figured I would start a thread becuase everything is starting to come together and I am actually getting a lot more done than I anticipated.
This was my 2020 EX I bought 2/27/2021. The pictures are from the next morning. https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fit...482f16978b.jpg day 1 https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fit...950132189a.jpg Day 1 new car |
Then, when I installed:
https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fit...1cee5c06a3.jpg Cargo Tray and Cover https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fit...1ff8754bf0.jpg Ikon Window visors https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fit...7f49c8b0d3.jpg Tanabe Medalion Touring Axel-back Dual Exhaust https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fit...adf6944a96.jpg Installed |
Next up about a week later I got my windows tinted because Sunlight makes car Hot
https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fit...5082472052.jpg Window tint. 15% on back doors and Trunk. 70% ceramic coated on Front doors https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fit...630abc040b.jpg |
And today, I finally got my Ikon Motorsports RS replica spoiler installed. To be frank, Its not the best fitting spoiler, but you get what you pay for. It doesn't sit flush, it needs to be pushed back slightly to avoid rubbing and catching the top when the trunk lid opens. The brake light is not a Plug n Play, I need to take the OEM one off the old spoiler to make it work. (doing it tomorrow) It only uses 2 of the OEM bolt holes and even then, becuase it does not sit flush, there is a gap in between the car and spoiler. It also exposes 2 of the other OEM bolt holes that I need to cover and also need to delete the windshield wiper sprayer, or find a new way to mount.
Lowkey, I honestly think the shop I went to probably could have done a better job at installing and painting, but I went for cheap and affordable. So, my fault I guess. https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fit...9b9df40ab3.jpg Installed https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fit...bdfbf03f38.jpg back view https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fit...7c6c219d3a.jpg the OEM bolts show. Need to figure out how to cover those. |
And, finally, a small photoshoot. I have RS-R Supper down springs coming soon, and an RS replica Lip Kit on its way over from China. As soon as those are mounted and on, I can definitely update this
https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fit...d5e8ee8685.jpg https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fit...c693640607.jpg https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fit...bef711afd2.jpg https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fit...3bdf501d7f.jpg https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fit...17a6737251.jpg |
Today I put the car up on ramps and installed the progress rear sway bar. Noticeable difference in the way it drives. My buddy and I also reworked the RS spoiler and it is 10000000% better than the shop left it.
We took the wiring and plug from the OEM light and attached it to the RS wing light. Then, because the wiring holes didn't match up, we drilled put about a 1.25 inch hole in the center of the wing to make the harness sit flush against the trunk. It ended up lining up with the stock OEM bolt holes so we used that, and double-sided tape to secure the fitment and help with water protection. Overall, way better than the shop left it. But, it is what it is. It looks much better now. https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fit...c04acea0cb.jpg Before going on https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fit...9fa9a58bd0.jpg Progress RSB installed. https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fit...7e2863b0fb.jpg Perfect fitment |
Sweet mods! Does the Progress bar have any rubbing issues or anything? I really wanted one but got scared by people saying that there was problems with it hitting the spare tire well? If not I’m ordering one of these soon. Keep it up, your fit looks great!

Minor update:
plugged the exposed bolt holes with universal Bumper clips from Autozone. Completes the look. Stoked as fuck to finally got the RS conversion spoiler completed. My RS-R superdown springs came in yesterday. Will have to wait for Saturday or Sunday for install. Will update when I get them on. https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fit...497c84c0e7.jpg |
I was finally able to get a car wash and put on my decals. Small photoshoot to celebrate

I was finally able to get the lowering springs installed and I love the way it looks.
It's not super aggressive, but it still has a sporty look to it. I went with the RS-R SuperDowns and I love it so far. Nearly identical feel after the first day, but we'll see in a week. Will take it back for alignment next Saturday, giving it about 500+miles or so. All that's left for now is my lip kit and eventually finding some wheels to fill it out https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fit...53eb17d51c.jpg The before https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fit...e0187aeca5.jpg The after https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fit...cc4e4bf1f0.jpg Just over 2 fingers in the rear https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fit...b2529224e5.jpg And in the front. |
nice project. i have the same wind from Ikon motorsports but opted for it to some painted. My fitment was great, i just need to cover the 2 holes as well. but i want to cover them with something white since mines White orchid pearl. I installed mine myself.

It wasn't a direct fit off the bat, had to drill out the hole to fit the harness and everything. Then had to clip the OEM wire harness and attach it to the harness from the spoiler to finally get it to fit flush. Once it did ALL the holes lined up and I didn't have to drill out the sides. Still love the way it looks with it. I made it permanent so it won't come off |
So my replica lip kit came in on Monday and me and the homies finally found the time to get some work done.
We started by wrapping my rear reflectors and Chrome Garnish in a Gloss and Matte black. The reflectors in a gloss black looks like a body panel and the garnish in the matte is a nice contrast. We started the lip kit install but only completed the rear lip today. It was the one I have been impatiently waiting for the most so we got that done before time expired. Had to remove the bumper to get it all done, but it was well worth it. We had the light working as a running/brake light but I think the running light wire got disconnected, so we will go back in and fix that another day. Along with installing the sideskirts and front lip eventually https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fit...5d0a78523b.jpg Reflectors in a gloss https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fit...cfcdfe25e4.jpg The trunk garnis in Flat black. https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fit...71e7bf90f2.jpg The rear lip kit w/LED 4th light.
