Here's My '15 EX
My first change was the addition of a receiver hitch for my bike rack:
http://i1379.photobucket.com/albums/...ps35da5038.jpg Changed my springs New Year's Eve: http://i1379.photobucket.com/albums/...psda2e0dc1.jpg Changed the horns (no pics of that). I picked up some 25mm spacers for the rear wheels to even the gap: http://i1379.photobucket.com/albums/...psjdagjwrp.jpg http://i1379.photobucket.com/albums/...psiwlgyb3w.jpg Early 90's Billet Specialties plate frame from my minitruck; Shaved the Fit emblem w/ dental floss: http://i1379.photobucket.com/albums/...psc0yq3p8d.jpg Here's how it sits today, but not for long - UPS guy's got some goodies on the way: http://i1379.photobucket.com/albums/...ps3e7a153e.jpg |
I put my oem tires on some Vision 425's today. 16x7 42et w/ 25mm spacers in the back. I'm just testing it with the spacers, but they're coming off the car. too wide:

Installed some 10mm spacers in the rear wheels tonight. Perfect spacing with these wheels/car:

Replaced the factory struts with Koni's last night:

I added Koni Orange shocks to the rear as well. Much, much better ride quality over OEM: http://i1379.photobucket.com/albums/...psn2t62zhh.jpg
What next? http://i1379.photobucket.com/albums/...pspizjsykm.jpg http://i1379.photobucket.com/albums/...psrumnfwr3.jpg |
How close were the koni rear struts to orm in terms of extended throw? I got monroe maxx air stuts for the rear when towing. A few inches ahy of extended length of the stock struts but shouldnt be an issue.
|
damn thats a nice drop for non-coilovers. did the konis add some extra drop?
|
They're shorter overall than OEM, but the springs have reduced travel, so as far as total travel compared to OEM I'm not really sure. I think it's a little less overall.
As for the Koni's adding drop-- the rear height is unaffected by them and I was expecting the front to actually be a bit higher because it seems like the perches are higher. It measured out exactly the same ride height as OEM struts and HandR springs. |

The Car looks great in white. I must admit I really like look of the stock rims a lot more then the black ones. The black stripes are cool in a mini cooper kind of way. They might call unwanted attention from the PD that you might drive, shall we say, enthusiastically. The same reason why I don't/won't own a "Ticket-me-RED" colored car.

Funny, I built a study in college about the correlation between car color and moving violations. I had a bit of confirmation bias going into it because I thought red cars received more tickets too. I mean, fire engines are red for a reason, right? My results were inconclusive. As for the stripes, I suppose the increased attention could be real, but the way I see it, as long as I keep that cruise control on lock, I should be OK. That's all it is. (Un)wanted attention. :D |
I picked up one of these today. Took a bit of work to get it mounted but it is on.

What did you have to do in order to install that Bisimoto pipe? And also how does it sound? |
I had to reshape the mounting hook pretty significantly because it hit my receiver hitch. I'm not sure why, but the hook points forward. The OE muffler points backward. If it was like the OE it wouldn't have been an issue. I bent it in a manner that put the least amount of stress on the weld. Otherwise I would have twisted it. There's only one hook ( OE two) so if it were to break it would fall. You can see it the first pic above how it originally looked. Here's how I bent it:
http://i1379.photobucket.com/albums/...psalnrnapd.jpg It sounds great. Imagine how it sounds with the OE axle-back muffler removed and adding a 3" piece of pipe in its place essentially that's what it is. Here's a link to how it sounds: |
I finally found some center caps that fit and look fairly decent:
http://i1379.photobucket.com/albums/...psoqeydmi3.jpg I've got my first cosmetic mod in the works. Hopefully it will be done in a week or so. All of the mods I've done so far are performance based. I'm not sure yet how this will look but I'll find out soon enough... I added all interior LEDs, front type A switchback LEDs turn signals, Silvania Xenons, amber markers, LED plate lights, and a Crosstour hatch lens with on/ off switch. It makes a noticeable improvement. Only a few things left to do. I'm almost done... http://i1379.photobucket.com/albums/...psmuwnquq2.jpg |
Put a sway bar on it today. Bolted right on! I wasn't sure if it was going to work or not:

Is that the GE8 Ultra Racing sway?
|
No, it is for the '13+ JDM Honda City. Apparently it shares the same torsion beam with the '15 USDM Fit. Bolted right on. No drilling, no mods. Backed it onto oil change ramps and install. 15 min.
