Not another build thread gk5 content

Hey guys! Been a member for awhile, always lurked but decided to document my build as it goes along. Alittle about myself names Rick I’ve been into cars as long as I can remember and have built up a few the say the least. I use to be very active on many forums like jdmu,Honda-tech nwp Zilvia etc. as we all know forums have died off but glad this one is still some what active. I’ll try and keep this thread alive as I get things for the fit.

Now for the gk5 content. My car is a 2018 Honda Fit sport 6mt in lunar silver metallic. Drove up 2hrs to pick up an orchard white sport 6mt and to my disappointment the car had a super returned funk all over it. Super dark tints all around and like 200 miles on the odo not a new car in my book so I settled for the silver. I think it complements the red and blk very well in my opinion. On to the pics!

Bye bye mx5 club

4/29/18 hello Fit sport!

4/30/18 went and got 55% solargard tints done. Not a fan of dark tints so I found a happy median.

4/30/18 tried out some shift knobs I had at home. Yes I hoard new jdm parts lol
Mugen 5speed gen2. This is a 5 speed version which brings a decal and don’t shift miss plate which I won’t use obviously since it’s 6 speed.

Carbing high grip in silver. Decided to keep this on for the time being. the polish look was driving me crazy so I put it in my magnetic tumbler with stainless media to satin it out a bit. Match’s the silver trim much better now.

Also put on one of these little tein magnetic cell phone holders cause they look cool.

It works pretty well for me, idk how it’ll work with bigger heavier phones but I use it on an iPhone 6 regular and it seems to hold up.

If you're a bit keen on your shifter matching your interior, you might like the 2016 CR-Z's shifter. It has the same black leather and copper/orange stitching as the Fit Sport interior.

Thanks guys. Ok it’s been raining here for like 2 weeks straight finally got the time to do the led tag lights. Also placed a small order on some things I wanted. On to some pics.

So to my surprise I had to file down the led cause it didn’t fit in the housing no biggie.

So I got a shift extender. Position is great, shift throw feels like I’m driving a semi truck. I need a short throw asap. I also satin finished it to match.

6/10/18 bought these enkei nt03 thought it would look cool so I pulled the trigger. Specs are 17x7 +38. They have continental run flat 205/45/17. I took them off cause I want to powdercoat them gloss black and add 225/45’s. Now I need to look for coilovers ASAP. Also bought these bbs for a friends e30 build.

Good updates so far man. Wish my girl had gotten a manual, I'm a sucker for some JDM shift knobs.
