Swift Sport Springs for 2015 Fit coming soon

I emailed a rep at Swift Springs and apparently the springs for the 2015 Fit will have different specs than the ones they sell now for the 2014 model.

They should be out in a month or two according to him.

I hope this is not old news.

Oh wow dude. Thats awesome. I dont think i had read that before since i've been researching these. Guess I'll wait for these instead of getting the GEs Swifts.

Thanks for emailing them and posting.

No problem. I'm looking to lower mine and was looking at those closely since they don't lower too aggressively and seem to be good. I'm just wondering what the change of specs will be.

I am wanting to go a bit lower, like an inch or so, and have been looking for springs too. What are our stock spring rates and how much of a drop are these Swift springs going to provide? I put on some 17x7 +40 rims on a couple of days ago and the car looks much better, but a mild drop would complete the look.

Per the Swift website:

GD3
spring rate Front: 168 Rear: 314
drop Front: -1.2 Rear: -1.0

GE8
spring rate Front: 129 Rear: 117
drop Front: -1.2 Rear: -1.0

lbs/in and inches

One might assume that the GK would have a similar drop. You know what they say about assumptions though: they make a bird in the bush an asshole for you and me.

I am not a paid Swift representative.

I don't know the OEM spring rates. I find there is indeed a big gap between the tires and the fenders and I'd like to drop mine more than what the Swifts do but the reason I want to go less aggressive is because a lot of people have had rubbing issues with springs that drop more than those especially with aftermarket tires and wheels.

I wouldn't be surprised if the GK Swifts would drop a little less in the front than the predecessors.

I have never heard that about assumptions, interesting.
