2018 HFP Shocks?

According to this article the new HFP Fit has much more aggressive springs and shocks over the stock ones:

https://www.autoblog.com/2017/08/24/...ty-technology/

I've really been hoping to find an OEM-type shock that would pair well with my Swift Springs on my '15 Fit (it gets a little bouncy in the rear), and I wonder if this might be the answer.

It probably gets bouncy because they're blown? Stock suspension on lowering springs usually = eventual blown shocks/struts. The stock suspensions is not going through its intended range of motion once lowered.

There's a few threads here already about people using 2nd gen Koni orange with good results, mine are sitting in the garage waiting for enough time to install them.

They are available already, shocks and springs look to be about $650.

I would like to know if it's possible to purchase the shocks without the springs (would prefer to run Swift springs for a little more drop. 10mm vs 25mm) from the dealership. Forgot to ask when I was there earlier this week =/

This may be a bit of a noob question but would these parts work with the 2015 Fit EX 6MT? At the College Hills Honda website they’re listed as 2018. They have the 2015-2017 as a separate category. Wheels and suspension kit look very appealing. This is probably for a different thread but also considering the progress rear sway bar.

Anyone have these installed yet? I bought a set - they are in transit.

Also curious if there are install instructions anywhere? On CHH site they strangely don't have them like most other Honda accessories.

If you're looking for a how to guide, I used this one from the GE section. Worked great, but I found I didn't need to remove the main part of the plastic trim below the windshield. As suggested on the second page of the thread, using a ratchet wrench gives you enough space to work with just the small panels removed.

ratchet wrench ftw .... saved me the trouble of having to remove the wipers/cowl

also.... fun fact (but I dont endorse doing it) .... it is possible to remove the spring minus the spring compressor.

I'd like to get the HFP springs only.

I don't believe you can get the springs w/o the shocks.

Also - anyone know why the 6MT HFP kit is different part# than the CVT HFP kit? I ordered the AT kit w/o realizing there were different part#s. Trying to figure out if it will work or do I need to send it back to the dealer and pay a restocking fee.

I'm curious about this as well, specifically 2016 MY compatibility.

My guess is to accommodate the differences in weight between the MT and CVT. The heavier transmission will require stiffer springs up front with properly valved dampers for those stiffer springs. The goal is to have the same ride and handling with either version.
