Eibach Pro-Kit Springs for GK5
Got Eibach Pro-Kit springs installed, Love the look!
The car now rides super smooth, no more floaty boat feeling, And not even super bouncy either. And gone is the annoying body roll that plagues this generation of Fit. Low to the ground so it feels super sporty. Handles like its on rails, and less understeer due to tighter front spring. Best mod next to coilovers for increasing the fun and ride quality of the car. Ride height still functional for daily driving :) https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fit...e5fcbdb12e.jpg https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fit...bf726b69c5.jpg https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fit...389d24bd9a.jpg |
sweet stripes bro! a few questions for ya?
Eibach mentions MPG increase, did you notice that? if yes, how much MPG? (https://eibach.com/us/c-189-product-...honda-fit.html) they also mention, for the fronts "Bump-stop: OE Trimmed" .... did you trim bump stop? and if yes, how many MM? |

I assume because of the lower drag, and other physics hullaballoo haha. No bump stop trim necessary! The instructions stated OEM front bumps were fine and it came with new rear bump stops. https://eibach.com/us/pdf/13980 |
Solid. Throw 25mm spacers on the rear to fill out those rear arches.

Slightly worried about understeer with spacers perhaps a little spacer in front may help with that? |
I've bookmarked the eibachs. Their spring rates are supposed to be compatible with oe shocks. Can you update us in a few months on ride quality? I dont have a ton of disposable income and cant aford to do the science for myself.

Nice looking results!!!!:thumbups:
Am planning to do likewise. A Black Friday sale will convince me to "bite the bullet" earlier. Just getting tired of the stock floaty ride. At 35k, it's not getting any better. More after ride handling and like the Eibachs as the drop is not excessive. OP, post your 1 month review. |

I Find myself not having to ride my brakes during the corner like every other car does since the suspension keeps my car so planted:D just coast and power out with ease. REPLY: This one month review confirms the exact attributes that appeal to me. The GK's current bouncy ride is getting irritating. My '07 GD stock springs performed better. From reviews on other install threads, coilovers are too drastic for my intended use, plus this is a less costly upgrade. Great side-by-side comparison pics. Kudos for the share!!! rttby |
How are they on bumpy roads?
|
I've had my set of Eibachs for over two years and they deal with bumpy SoCal roads just fine.

Sold!
New to the forum. Just purchased a 2018 GK; EX 6MT. It is my daily now as I have a 50 mile each way commute. Appreciate how fun the car feels, I was not expecting it to feel so much like the Hondas of the 90s. Now excited for the potential, and looking to make some changes. This thread helps tremendously. Thank you.

Do the springs unseat themselves like most lowering springs, when you lift the car for service?
