This may be a dumb question but I was wondering if anyone had put in fog lights on the base model? I want buy a new front bumper and fog lights but I don't know if the wiring for the fog lights is even there on the base modle or if I am going to have to wire it all myself with its own switch or if you can just essentially plug them into a preexisting port.
I used this kit from Honda about 2 years ago to add them to my Base 2012 FIT. There is some wiring already in place but it's integrated with this kit. The kit includes the switch and the wiring that connects to what is already there.

You do have to cut holes in the bumper for the fog lights. It was a bit tricky but worked fine in the end

The dealer is basically the only real option for these fog lights (for the 2nd Gen base Fits). Don't bother looking on eBay and AliExpress for a cheaper set, because they won't fit the 2nd gen curved plastic where the covers will go (even though many listings/sellers insist they will). Just looking at both sets of lights side by side, you can easily see the difference in the outside cover shape.
