i know our cars have a few ground wires, but just out of curiosity, has anyone even added an additional engine to chassis ground wire? I have had a significant dimming of the headlights when the cooling fans (more when a/c is on) cycle since new. All of the factory grounds looks good and tight, with no corrosion. Just wondering l

 

I think everybody with a GE8 noticed that!

 

When I first got my Fit (4 years back) I noticed a slight dimming.
Replaced the 151R mini battery with a 51R full size battery.....haven't noticed the dimming since.

 

Weird. I have the 51R battery and the dimming is still there.

 

Havent added any ground straps, but superstreet did.

Those rounding kits don't do anything at all. Especially on new age cars.

Those are just for looks.

 

I have a kit that I bought for my old G37 but I never noticed a difference with that car, doubt the Fit would be much different. Probably get more effect from cleaning the grounds.

 

Where are the grounds on the car located? ? Any photos? Mine could probably use a cleaning.

 

Buy yourself an OEM repair manual and go to town.

 

I believe there is one on the passenger side engine mount. For the rest, just scan around the perimeter - not that many places to hide.

 

I upgraded to some good LED lamps, problem solved.
