Greetings from a new guy.. Picked up (for VERY cheap) a low mile 09 Sport. Had been in a frontal accident, no airbags deployed. Codes (checked at local shop and dealer) show seatbelt and both front impact sensors. Got the new belts and my mechanic gave me a place to send the SRS module out to be reset or whatever they do it it, BUT CANNOT FIND the sensors anywhere. Looks like a nationwide backorder. Does anyone know if they cross reference to another part or is it "safe" to possibly get them from a yard ? Wanted to give car to kid for college, but not with inop airbags,.. Thank you in advance...

I'm curious if no airbags deployed, why do you suspect the crash sensors need to be replaced? Another member here posted in Nov. this year a similar situation to yours- but not exactly the same as yours- read here: https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/2nd-...t-airbags.html

 

My buddy's scanner and dealer HDS both came up with impact sensor codes. I saw the other post too, but didn't really talk about the sensor issue. Oddly, both dealer and love shop asked if it had sat with a completely dead battery, as there have been "stories" of sensors getting shot out when car is jumped or new battery put in.
