I just purchased a Mugen half bumper for the 2009-2011 GE8 Sport.
I’m toying with the idea of making replicas. I already found a fiberglass fabricator who is willing to take on the job.
Problem is: I’m just a guy (not a company) and my funds are limited. I can’t afford to make a big production run. So I would probably start with 10 units.
As it stands, I would have to sell each replica lip for about $800 just to break even. I’m not taking a profit.
How many of you would seriously consider that price point? Personally I would hate to pay that much, but there’s really no other options out there.
I’m just trying to gauge interest. I can make it happen and have Mugen reps as early as late February.

Reason: Added details.
Love the idea, the willingness to share with the community, and the look, but the wallet moths have spoken. Thank you all the same. That fit looks supercool.
Thanks man, yeah it would be a lot of work but if the demand isn’t there, then it would be a bit of a waste.
Do Fit guys just don’t modify their cars? I’m new to the Fit, but I’ve been in the Honda scene since 96’. It seems there’s only a handful of guys who would go all out to mod their Fit. Is that the overall vibe?
Mmmm. It had attention early on, but the GD (first gen) had more. And then I think Ford took it with the Fiesta as far as hatchbacks getting love goes. No Hondata for the second gen. But I'm really not educated enough to say what the deal was.

So the upper half of your bumper is still stock, right? The reason I ask, is I'm trying to find a Mugen grille (original or replica) which will fit my 2012 bumper cover. I'm not sure such a thing exists.
The stock grille looks a little wimpy in my opinion and needs to be more aggressive.

No, we DO, but part of the fun of the Fit is that it’s a relatively cheap car to mod. $800 for a replica is kinda steep for what it is, especially when other aftermarket options exist at lower price points.
That said, there are a YON of guys out here going all-in on their Fits!
