15x8 Axis Oldskools...fit the Fit?

Hey all,

I am thinking about picking up a set of 15x8" Axis Oldskool rims for my Fit.. The offset on these wheels is 25mm.

Does anyone know if these will work? I was told by Axis themselves that they will fit on a Fit. But you just can't lower the vehicle too much. The guy at Axis said that the wheels will stick out about 5mm... which is understandable since these wheels have a 3" lip!

Anyone know if these will work without tearing off my fenders? I don't have a drop yet.. but I was thinking of the GF210s since its the smallest drop available for our cars...

No way.

I ran it through a calculator and it extends 51mm more than stock, not 5mm.

I think even without lowering it's going to require some serious work.

I got +55mm on outer clearance on my calculator, +5mm was in the change inner clearance.

I'm actually considering 15X8 wheels myself, but it would be for look that the wider tire and rim would give, so I wouldn't mind about sticking out.

But I just bought a car for my fiancee, so I have to wait a bit to decide, which gives me time to think (and research) would love to see some pics of 15X8s on a fit.

I think that really blows... I sw these wheels in the latest Siphon Magazine and they specify that these wheels are specifically designed for the B-segment cars... ie. Scion Xb, Xa, Yaris, Versa and Fit.

That is what the axis rep said to me.. it would stick out about 5mm.. and give it a really aggressive stance.

They are going to test fit the wheels on a Honda Fit for me before I consider buying them. Awesome service with these guys.. Hopefully it will work out cause these wheels would look so sick on a Fit..

I saw in a magazine( super street ) I think that showed a pic of a black fit with those wheels on at some show. I'll try to find it.

I couldn't have done that any faster.

I dont think these are 15 x 8s but the 5mm the rep was talking about could have been +5MM offset. Which would put you a good 1/2" beyond the fenders. That would be a lot of rubbing. I am riding on +17 offset and I am totally flush, maybe a hair past the fender, cause of the beefier tire I have on there.

Those are Work Equips. I think those are 15x6-7. Looks as if hes stretching 195's on those rims.

Drag's are knock offs of those wheels.

I wasn't correcting you. I was correcting the other dude who said that 195 series tires will "stretch" over 6-7" width wheel...

This is what Axis was telling me. They designed these wheels to give the wheels a "stretched" tire look. They told me that they put 195/45R15 tires on thei 15x8" wheels.

If you look at their website they are running really stretched tires (195s) on the Axis Oldskool Rims which are 15x8
