Anyone upgraded their Brakes?

I was wondering if anyone was upgraded their rotors, pads and lines up front yet? And if they did what did you use?

This is the next mod so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I have a set of Hawk HP+ laying around but I'm
not shure I want to instal them... The noise with
those pads is orible (like a bus stoping) and the
dust is worst than that BUT it can stop you on
a dime but also eat rotors... If I got better rotors,
I'm gonna instal them. The stock Fit is pretty decent
in the braking department... Metalic braded hose
will help for the pedal feel but not in term of braking
power... The pedal will be a bit firmer...

So, Brembo heat treated rotors with Hawk HP+ is
perfect for the trak and ok on the street... as long
as it's not too cold outside... above 5'C is correct...

When they are cold (HP+), they scratch rotors easily...
For street use, HPS is nice and PBR Ultimate (ceramic)
is also very good (a bit more torque than the HPS and
a bit more dust to...)

I have try a lot of pads and rotors

Philippe

Im not looking for pads that are noisy. Just something a step above stock. I have found Brembo blank rotors for 30 something shipped.

i have the WORST noise w/ prostop ceramic pads (from pepboys) it was the only thing avaible in such a short period of time. i coudln't wait one more hour to replace my stock pads (worn out to the metal) so i had 2 get something and i always liked ceramic cuz it doesn't create dust. Pads are great just they sqeak all the time! annoying as hell. i'm looking for some brembo blanks.

Phil.

Big X2 to that! I run Hawk HPS on stock rotors and lines but with Motul 600 fluid. (Goodridge decided not to produce their lines, these are the ones posted on Tire Rack btw...) so I'm stuck waiting for a set of J's Racing lines to ship from Japan.

Anyways with just fluid and these pads on the stock rotors she brakes like a champ, they don't make ANY noise, they DON'T fade and they keep the dust to a minimum. They could pretty much be the BEST pad for a daily driver that gets casualy tracked every now and then.

Well go to their website and call them directly with intentions of purchasing a set. I asked twice, two different sales reps attended me and they boy told me they quit development, one of them even went into detail saying that the R&D for the lines was to expensive and they wouldn't be able to sell the lines at the price point they wanted to.

Figured I'd place the order on their website to see what happens anyway....they called me back just now and said that it won't be available like you said.

Oh well...

I'm using Hawk HPS intended for the 91 CRX Si with a minor amount of grinding on the backplate. Length is about 2mm short but still fits in upper groove. Working really well at VIR as well as street.

No need for that, just use any pad intended for the Base Model RSX and its a direct fit! No moding, no issues NOTHING!! I've already gone through two sets of HAWK HPS on the street and on the track with 0 issues.

mmm....nah, he has the theory right, prepare for the extra power BEFORE you get the extra power!

granted we know that the power the kwsc will make is not overwhelming, but still a great theory and approach to go by.
