what works for not rubbing on 16' rims

with all the posts about rubbing with rims, what does work for not rubbing for 16 or even 17 inch rims. Thanks

Wheel diameter has nothing to to with rubbing. Tire size and wheel offset does. Some 15" set ups rub and some 17" set ups don't.
