I really like the new look, it looks very chiseled and taut.

but the powetrain choices are totally underwhelming.

i can understand the k24 still being used, but its totally outgunned by every other entry level lux sedan in the segment. and i'm not just talking about the c class 3 series or a4 (which also rocks FWD); i'm talking about the lower class players like the volvo s40 and saab 93.

i appreciate the torque increase, but its only barely so, and it probably weighs more than the last gen.

we really needed a more powerful k24, or at least a type s version with sh-awd and the turbo k23. that to me would be competative.

at any rate, its still good looking and it'll probably handle great!

Not feeling it to much....

I was expecting something better and with much more power. I had a 2004 and the only think I disliked about it was the lack of engine. I think
they should do an s-type with the rdx turbo charged motor and make it
all wheel drive...that would be hot. I do miss my TSX though.

i don't think it looks horrible, i actually kinda like it...it wears this new 'beak' much better than the new rl did, which was so bad, honda took it back to the drawing boards and came out with a MUCH nicer design.

but the engine choices needs to expand, and all 4 wheels moving needs to be an option.

When did Acura start part sharing with GM cause that looks just like the Saturn grille. I hope that the grille isnt an indication that they cut corners and cheaped out on everything else. Thanks for the link Illusive.

I still think Acura needs to strangle their designers in Irvine. Overpaid, over hyped fools that couldn't design a nice looking car if it ran them over. Just my two cents.

if it looks like a saturn because it has a different colored beak remeniscent of the aura, then there are A lot of cars that can be accused of looking like saturns.

you want to know what looks like a saturn?

the current gen civic coupe. it looks like the ion when approaching. now THAT is a saturnesque car.

this?...i can kinda see the similarity, but its not horrible looking. i just think that there are much uglier cars to get all bent out of shape over.

Based on the release pictures, I can't say I'm in favor of the new design. To be blunt I think it looks hideous. Then again I also thought the new Accords looked bad in their release pics but they're growing on me. When I had my 8th gen Civic coupe I thought the sedans looked like crap, and now I like them more than the coupes. I even thought the Fit looked funny and tall when I first saw one in person. So I think I might warm up to the TSX once some real pictures get out there and some different colors.

Following the link on the TSX page though, the 2009 RL doesn't look all that bad.

Those fender "flares" look gross. Acura should either preserve the clean design of the old generation, or go all out and make real flares. The little bumps look awful.

As for power, 200hp and 170lb-ft seems totally adequate. IMHO it's much more important at this point to improve MPG than horsepower, which is exactly what Acura did. I'm glad they aren't getting involved in the horsepower wars.

BTW, Edmunds has a First Drive up.

the tsx looks pretty ugly to me. but when i first saw pics of the current civic i thought it was so ugly. then when i saw it in person for the first time i thought it looked pretty good, and now i think it looks really good. so maybe this tsx will look better in person too.
