Small Japanese trucks

Hello,

There is a place about 5 minutes from where i live that always has around 7 of these small trucks imported from Japan, all rhd, 4wd....

anyways there pretty cool, but i called the guy and he said they are "off-road only" and he said he doesnt know how they can be made to legally drive on the road and to insure...

i do know people import cars from other countries and they are fine........so my question is........

what does it take to make them legal?

More than likely safety issues.

Possibly emissions as well.

if you get in a wreck with one of these bad boys your in some trouble.

i know emissions arent an issue in MI, i have seen 1 driving that was legal,

my thought was that getting the title and insuring it would be the problem, since its a used truck from japan:confused:

Hitting a tofu would kill you if you were in one of those.

I believe they aren't freeway legal and limited to 50 mph or so. Those trucks would be pretty sweet if you tuned them up and JDMed em. I just made JDM a verb.
