FuelFrog.com... track your fuel efficiency online

Just saw this on Autobloggreen:

If you're a little obsessive compulsive about keeping track of your fuel consumption but keep losing all those little paper receipts, FuelFrog is the Internet 2.0 solution for you. Just hop on over to www.fuelfrog.org, give yourself a name and a password and you're ready to go. We gave it a quick test drive and came away impressed by the cute logo clean interface and usability. After entering the miles since our last fill-up, price and number of gallons and the date of that wallet bruising, well, nothing. But after the second entry of that data a chart begins to be constructed and mileage patterns officially begin to be tracked. Right now, we can only see our mileage on the chart but we noticed an input space for the make and model of our car so we expect that we may be able to make aggregate comparisons with other users of the same vehicles.

So, you like this tracking idea but you don't bring the internets with you to the gas station? No problem. FuelFrog is now hooked up with Twitter so you can send the info straight from the pumps via your phone and Twitter account. We signed up for that as well and it was also pretty easy. Now we can not only keep track of our mileage but also what the whole Twittering world is doing.
Maybe we can start some manner of 'group' for Fit owners? I know I have data going back to when I bought my car a few months ago. I wonder if it will allow you to upload historical data? I'm going to check it out.

I think most use cleanmpg.com, that is where the logo in my signature comes from. My bet is cleanmpg.com will be the best site out there for this. There is a lot of good info on it as well.

fuelfrog.org doesnt seem to come up no matter how I enter it. But another +1 for logging on cleanmpg instead, you can get current and monthly data and charts as well. And yes you can log all your past data too.

Yeah, looking at it, FuelFrog is kinda... simplistic. I'm going to check out the CleanMPG site. It would be nice to track this stuff online. I do have a PDA that logs data in a neat program, but haven't loaded it's PC counterpart because it's a PITA to get the data to it.

OK, CleanMPG.com looks pretty cool. Lots of articles and information. I signed up... yet can't find where I'd enter MY fuel statistics. They sure don't make it obvious.

Another option for tracking MPG would be fueleconomy.gov. I use it all the time.

Here is the link to the log-in/sign up page: https://www.fueleconomy.gov/mpg/MPG.do?action=garage

Look on the top left hand side and there should be a link for mileage logs

Click it and then click on add a tank. I think you have add a vehicle first, I can't remember. If you wonder around enough you will find it.
