Angry Mugen Visor Care

I recently bought a set of used mugen visors. Since the old tape was no longer usable, I took it off using Goo Gone liquid to help me get rid of the tape(which was a pain in the A) and add the new double sided tape.. anyway two days later i noticed some nasty 'water spots' on the Visors, i have tried to rub it off with my chamois cloth after washing it but so far no luck.. any suggestions? it looks really bad especially on sunny days .The visors do look good at night bcuz you can't notice the water spots! or goo spots i should say. Any help would be greatly apreciated.

if not, try using some plastic polish, like megulars plastix or something like that. i have a bottle of that in worries of the future for the headlight capsules.

i would try clay and also plastic polish myself.

you can also try some white vinegar. eats away the calcium.
you would douce the vinegar onto a towel and let it sit on
the stain for a few min.

once you get it all clean, put a coat of wax on it. it will make your job
easier next time.

I would try every other option before resorting to abrasives. Baking soda and water would probably be less abrasive than plastix or other plastic polishes. I usually use baking soda and water to buff out fine scratches off of CDs, but I don't see why you can't try it on your window visors. If you do resort to polishes, a couple coats of wax afterwards will save you from headaches of oxidation down the road.

Best way to clean plastic...Plexus. Just spray it on and buff it off. Works great on headlights, taillights, instrument panels, visors, etc. Non-abrasive and leaves it smooth and shiny.

Introducing Plexus Plastic Cleaner

I like Turtle Wax Ice polish once a month. The other 3 times I wash my car that month I wash and then use Meguiars spray quikdetailer. That shit beads water like there's no tomorrow.

you should give PlasticX a try it worked wonders for the goo gone spots, but it also depends on how deep the scratch is. If its a light scratch you might be able to remove easily.
BTW I waxed the visors ! im proud of myself lol..

haha i would say you're pretty much screwed but yea you remove the visors but im pretty sure the tape would not work as good. I know because i bought used visors and it was a real pain because I had to take off the old tape and use new tape, and that took me about 3 hours. So if you're not sure you can do it yourself i strongly suggest you get someone to help you.
good luck thou

I suppose I'll deal with the uneven-ness of the passenger side visors. The front one is a few mm higher than the back one ;/ Plus one of the clips is like not even fully in the weatherstripping spot. Ah well, from far away you can't tell. Only a discerning eye, like a show judge, would notice. They still do their job regardless. Anyway already I got waterspots inside mine lol
