That guy is just waiting bring a gun to work if he stays that wound up that he would be that upset about a little rattle, especially after alcohol. What is he expecting, a luxury car?

The reality of the rattling situation is the same with most all small cars that are known to have the issue, basically, ranging extreme temperatures and UV exposure is plain difficult for plastics to cope with without warping or otherwise loosing their shape/conformity.

The more your Fit is garaged, less exposed to sun, and less exposed to winter or any other temperature or sunlight extremes, the more conformant the cheap plastics that comprise the interior are going to remain.

It's a car made almost entirely of plastic for well under $20,000.
What do you want?

the guy needs to find a better job... and a girl. taking out his personal problems at a car is pretty dumb.

I kinda dont get complaints about cars that YOU buy...you are the one that bought it...you knew the class, make, and why you buy something...if it was fast with no rattles, and got great gas mileage, and an awesome spare tire cover that wasn't flimsy it would not be at the price point that its at.

Personally I dont hear rattles because all the coin Im saving at the gas pump makes too much noise, I dont expect the fit to carry my heavy DJ equipment, although it would all fit in tall mode. And most of all its not hella fast...not sure what everyone thought they were buying, but my Fit is everything I thought it was gonna be.

that's the point of a weblog

The guy was hungover/dehydrated and tried to fix it with caffeine. No wonder he found something to get angry about on his morning commute. I'd take his opinion with a grain of salt.

Its so weird but I don't have a single rattle yet on my car (keeping fingers crossed) Given I have 4K on mine and its not like I don't drive on rough roads plus the fact I'm lowered. Guess I will just keep hoping to have the same luck in the future.

Exactly. You have only 4,000 miles. Rattles and other noises come with age.

It's not the the Fit isn't built well, it's what it's built with...plastic.

Well like you said..rattles come with age. Even my $31,000 Acura CL-S had rattles as it aged but plastic is not always the culprit.
