Hour after buying my fit
I was back at the dealer. Freaking vtec sensor died on me. I left the dealer at 4.30 was back at 5.35 (after service closed) I didnt get to drive my car for the first week i owned it. Good thing that was my 7th car purchased there at Corona Honda. They gave me a Pilot to drive around.
Anyone else have this problem with their Fit?

What makes you think that the Vtec Solinoid crapped out?
Is it b/c you can not feel the Vtec engagement! That's normal for the FIT! You basically can not feel what is commonly called changeover.
Was the Check engine light on? if it was then you might have a problem of the electronic sort!
Just trying to help, I'm a Honda Owner and a mechanic!

And c'mon guys, 31 and been tuning my own hondas since 18. Give some people some credit. I'm not all that new to the game. Don't get me wrong. I am no pro. But I do all of my work on my DC and EF. And they still run like champs.
THat's what warranty is for! well if any engine sensor craps out the computer will go into what is known as LIMP mode, allowing you to just drive to your destination but limiting your ability to destroy the motor.
OBD2 is Great for this!
