Replacing tires - OEM 195/55/15; will 205/50/15 work?

I have an '08 Fit Sport with OE tires, which are on their last treads. A friend recommended that I get 205/50/15 replacements, but according to specs my current tires are 195/55/15. What are the implications of the 205/50/15s? Better/worse handling? Better/worse fuel economy? Will they fit correctly, or will the stock rims put stress on them?

Thanks!

it will be just fine
they will make your handling feel better
as for fuel eco i dont really know cause i didnt really notice any change
putting them on stock rims is just fine wont harm a thing

Exactly what fitster said. I just changed to that size and noticed better handling and ride right away. Also fitster, I think I saw your car a week or so ago. Looks good! It was parked across from a park right up the street from my place.
