09 Honda Fit Sport Tire Question

I've got an 09 Honda Fit Sport and I'm needing new tires, however all the reviews for the the tires aren't very good. It's got 185/55r16 tires on it now and I'm thinking about upping the size to 195/55r16 because there's a lot more choices for tires in that size. I was just wondering if anyone has done this and it's messed up their warranty or if the bigger tires caused any problems. I'm really kind of bummed there's not more choices in tires.

There's a number of threads on this so try the search feature at the top. I know others have run 195/55 on theirs and i run slightly taller snow tires with no issues. Weight will likely be the biggest issue you might run into unless you are lowered. Many are running 205's which is what I think i'll run next year when I replace mine. Hankook has some decent tires for a really good price with a very good wear rating.

I just replaced the stock Dunlops at 39,000 miles. I'm running 205/50/R16 Continental Extreme DWS now. No problems so far. It feels much more stable at highway speeds and the ride is noticeably quieter too.

I checked other message boards and it does seem like it won't be a problem, I'm even thinking about going to 205/50r16 since so many seem to like that size. Wouldn't the tires rub though with it being taller and wider?

unless you're lowered 195 should be fine.

even so difference in sidewall profile:

185/55 = 10.2cm
195/55 = 10.7cm

who cares.

I had a fit sport '07, and I put '09 sport wheel. actually I need new tires too.
if you use 205/50/16, if not too wide for this tire size 16x6? and you put four tires 205/50/16 for your car?
and if you can give a picture of your car? because I need fitmet 205/50 tire wear.

thanks.
