New Fit owner Key Largo Fl.
Hi everyone. Just a short intro.
Just bought a base auto '12 in blue raspberry metallic. Have to go pick it up today after a late evening at the dealership closing the deal.
I looked at every compact hatchback on the market but liked the Fit from the start. The closest competitor was the Versa from Nissan. For me at least.
While the Versa offered alloy wheels and Bluetooth for what I paid for my base Fit, it's slightly better mpg rating, more room and the fold down seats in back (completely flat) were the selling points.
I test drove the sport but the base suits me just fine and is less flashy.
I plan to do a lot of long distance driving with this car and I like not standing out. My only concession was the blue color and not white.
It's unlikely I will do any mechanical mods to the car.
I will probably try my hand at hypermiling. I am a conservative middle aged driver anyway.
The things I was not crazy about are
Itty bitty battery
No hight adjust on seat
The things I like are
Honda brand
Looks
Feel on road.
Versatile cargo options.
This is the first time I will have ever owned a vehicle that was not a truck, and one that might actually be fun to tool around in and go places.
Yay me huh?
I paid about 18,000 out the door, including sales tax and new tag fee, and got floor mats thrown in.
