Red face Future Fit owner.

Hey, I'm Blair. A future Fit owner if all pans out, with my fingers crossed.
'08 Fit Sport manual. Just so you guys know.

I am a current owner of a '07 Civic Si Coupe. I am now, at the age of 20, tired of the coupe aspect of my vehicle and with me being the type to usually detest sedans and four doors... I am severely in love with Fits.

But me being your typical person, shallow even - horsepower and things of that sort is something I find extremely intriguing.

I can't help but feel as though I'm downgrading severally from my K20. I was wondering what you guys would suggest to someone to begin to bring up performance on their car.

seriously, if you feel like your "downgrading" solely because of engine performance, then my advice is stick with the SI. no bolt ons are going to get you anywhere near that stock k20z3.

Welcome to the Fit Forum and hope you can get your Fit. It is a great little car and you can search the forum to see what other owners have done to get more performance. For myself I only have a Megan exhaust but I love the gas milage I get and speed is not a factor for me.

Welcome to the forum! In the case of the Fit, sure its down on power but it will make for that by how fun it is to drive. I'd recommend driving the car for a bit stock to get used to it and pin-point exactly what areas of your Fit you want to address.

Er... not so much in the case of the GD chassis. Sure, a simple intake/header/exhaust won't make much more power BUT Kraftwerk's High Boost Supercharger kit is darn near plug and play (requires a couple holes to be drilled, A/C lines slightly bent to clear, and the ECU sent to Hondata for reflash) and made 168WHP on their test Fit (JDMChris's '07 GD).

Many drivers say "It's more fun to drive a slow car fast, than a fast car slow"

As long as your car feels safe (eg, being able to pull out on freeways without being run over) you should enjoy the Fit.

(Even Ferrari and Lotus owners mod their cars for more power)

As above, slow car driven fast is way more fun. The Fit and the Si serve two different purposes, but with the right driver and mods, the Fit can serve the function of both well enough. The Si will never be the people carrier or cargo hauler that the Fit can be.
