New Member here with a lot of questions.
Hey y'all new member here. Not new to the car crowd but I am new to the Honda crowd.
My girlfriend just picked up a 07 Honda Fit (GD if I'm correct with the lingo). I drove it back from Houston and have a few questions.

Midway through the trip I noticed the rear bumper coming off the clips (right below the driver side tail light). Looks like whenever the previous owner had it painted (someone had hit him while it was parked just had the bumper resprayed), whomever reinstalled it didn't do it properly or had damaged that actual part where the bumper clips into.
So I took a look at the other side and it's same thing on that side so we stopped at a gas station and picked up some duct tape just to hold it in place temporarily. Are these simple to replace? Maybe I just have to remove the bumper cover to access it? And are there any sites that have a good part search (I'm used to using realoem.com for BMW parts they have exploded views and it makes things really easy).

Carfax came up clean. So that accident wasn't reported and he had it fixed. Although there is another issue indicating a separate accident which looks like it's been repaired. The front driver door/fender gap is notably larger than the passenger side.

Not too sure what the hell happened right there.
I'm also going to be looking into getting an alarm installed on this car. I'm not sure if these models are apt to being stolen or not, but I do know Civics are a hot item as well as any heavily modded car. If someone can point me in the right direction for maybe a kit, I would appreciate it.
One more thing, I think the car originally came equipped with fog lights. On the wiper stalk it has a switch for what I think is the foglights (I have to read the manual to find out for sure), but the PO replaced the front bumper for another when he ran over a tire on the highway and now there are no foglights.
Also ABS light is on, this may be due to the rims being from a different car (a Honda Civic), is there a way to reset this light? Or am I just going to have to live with it until I get the correct wheels to the car?
Thanks for any and all help.

It looks as if your photos show a Base Fit which did not come with fog lights, but would have had the fog light stalk switch but without the actual lights in the front bumper. I can't see the back of the roofline clearly in the photo, but it looks like the rear spoiler is missing which is the case with Base Fits also.
It looks like you picked up someone's old modified Fit...
The reason I say that is because the tail lights on it are JDM replicas. Not too sure about the rear bumper though since it does have a rear lip (Sports came with a lip kit as standard) but is missing the fogs and lip on the front bumper. To tell between a Sport and a Base model you'd have to read the VIN on the dash, door jam sticker, or another location were its posted... or if the light stalk has a fog light option on it (which your's has if I remember right).
For a Sport, it would read "6" as the eighth character in the VIN and if it reads "4" as the eight character its a Base.
Can you post up more pictures of it from a further distance please?

The only GUARANTEED way to tell is by checking the VIN.
I guess that it's a sport. Would someone really rock OEM sideskirts but without the OEM front lip? It just looks weird doesn't it?
It's a little sketchy that both bumpers have been replaced, yet the previous owner claims no accidents. Did you guys take a scrutinizing look under the hood to see if anything has been repainted or replaced?
I can see that the front bumper is still missing two plastic grills, the Honda emblem, and all or part of the splash shield. I really don't know, is it possible that the entire original front end was destroyed by a tire?
Maybe I'm just paranoid, but I've met liars trying to sell cars that had been in unreported accidents.

It does have cruise control. It does have the wing. No fog lights..although he may have just sold them when he replaced the bumper. Eighth digit is a 6.
Hood and frame fit fine. Under the hood it doesn't look like there's any damage to the crossmember or radiator support.
It was a modified fit. My gf bought it from a friend. He had pictures of the damage to the bumpers which wasn't a big deal. But I didn't think the rear bumper was going to pop off on me on the highway. "Fenders were professionally rolled," is what he told her in text but they look like ass. Still no problem, we got a good deal on it.

On my way home, I'll stop by the dealer and ask if they have any ideas.
Yeah I agree with you. I'd be more comfortable knowing I did the mods to the car but we did get a good deal on the car.
And thanks again Hootie. Definitely will take a look at that.
Love this car and how many relatively cheap mods y'all have. I don't have too many options for my BMW
and when I do it costs an arm and a leg.
For anyone wondering here's a pic of my car-

It's around 400hp (not nearly the same as the turbo guys) but I wanted something a little more simple and less expensive to fix.
It actually uses a Rotrex blower just like the Kraftwerks blower setups (just a little bigger).
