WeatherTech® All-Weather Floor Mats (not Digital Fit) Opinions needed!

Hi,
Need the forum's opinion of the WeatherTech® All-Weather Floor Mats(not the digital fit versions):

(1) Better value compared to the Honda All Season mats?
(2) Do these WeatherTech® All-Weather Floor Mats lock down on the front driver's side?
(3) Durability issues (vs Honda All Season mats)?
(4) Coverage of rear floor area (vs Honda versions)? Thanks folks.

1) I think so
2) No, but mine don't move at all. There's a raised circular indent that fits over the locks in my car.
3) WT's are made of heavier material than the Honda mats. I've got the H mat in the cargo area simply because WT did not list one. If the other Honda mats are made of the same weight plastic as that one then WT is definitely more rugged.
4) WT's cover the entire rear seat floor.

Hope this helps.

Will

Do the WeatherTech Digitals and Weather Tech All Weather cover the same amount of area in the rear?
If so, you will find the Honda OEM mats are deeper--i.e. go further under the front seats. The weather techs digitals do cover the hump in the middle. I have Weather Tech digital in front and like them, have Honda all weather in the rear, because they seem to cover more of the area where people would place their feet.

just looked at the Weather Tech site and their all weathers come as two separate mats for the rear (different from the digitals), so they may cover as much space as the Honda OEM.

I have the Digital Fit set in my car and the driver's side gets wadded up on a regular basis. I am going to replace the driver's mat with a generic all-weather type. The rest of the set has worked ok with the minor exception of the logo sticker on the passenger side came off after about a week of use. I wouldn't spend the $ on WT again.

I don't understand how this can happen--my Weathertech Dig mats stay in place- there is no room for them to move.

Doesn't add up--it almost sounds like you have some counterfeit knock-off WT's, not the real thing. And are you sure they are the digitals? Mine are certainly better quality than that and bunching up is about the last thing they do.

This is very helpful folks - I so appreciate all your feedback on the Weathertech product. I think I may be leaning towards the Digital Fit versions but am a bit scared of the "curling issues". It appears that several have used heavy duty velcro? Keep the info coming...most informative!

I have a 2012 Fit and have the Weathertech Digital Fit mats. The driver side does move when you push on it with your feet. I am trying to find a way to anchor it. Anyone else have this issue?

My drivers side ones move as well and they can't be counterfeit because I ordered them direct from weathertech.

I tried using stick on velcro to hold it in place but the pressure causes the velcro to come off. :/

Is there anyone successfully using velcro or another form of anchoring Digital Fit mats willing to post some detailed photos? Thanks to all who have shared thus far.

My digital fits also move back and forth. Not a curling or bunching, the whole thing has an inch or so of play so it slides. When you match up the indent in the mat with the clip for the oem mats, there is a space left between the front of the mat and the dead pedal. I bought a bunch of 3m strips but haven't tried them yet. I also have the gap between the mat and the door on the drivers side. Interestingly, I also have had the weathertech label come off on the passenger side despite very little use on that side. I also ordered direct from WT. Despite these faults, the amount of dirt and crud that accumulates on my mat is amazing, and I'm still glad I bought them despite their shortcomings. I think WT needs to work on their QC though.

Well, this is odd, to have such varied experiences. I agree with Metalofearth, something is off on the QC and must vary from batch to batch. I didn't order direct from WT and the place I bought them from had them in stock, so maybe an older batch.

I do have a small gap on the driver's side which is not too annoying. Haven't tried to fix it but one poster said they had good results with heating the mat in hot water and reshaping. That seems a better solution than velcro, as I didn't want to attach sticky stuff to the car.

Anyway my mats don't move at all. I thought they were overpriced but that seemed the only way to get an exact fit. Now it seems others didn't even get that.

I also have no problems with mine and did not order directly from WT, but from http://www.handa-accessories.com/

Something is definitely off for a product that claims to be "digitally fit" to a specific car model.

I have WT regular mats (not digital fit) in the front only. I nearly wore a hole in the driver's side Honda All-Season mat after about 40,000 miles on my 5MT.

1. WT AWFM are expensive, but much heavier & thicker than Honda ASM
2. Yes, the AWFM lock down and don't move around
3. I imagine the WT will last longer since they are thicker
4. I don't have the rears

I forgot to say my WT digitals are only in the front, so everything I said about them above applies only to the front mats. Hope I didn't confuse anyone.
