2008 Honda Fit Armrest

Finally got my armrest in the mail today. I was kinda scared not being able to see the armrest in person before buying it. I know there are many different variations, and there is one that does not look as clean when installed because it sticks out in the back (look at pics). Also it only screws in from one spot where mine has 5 screws and makes contact in two different areas which makes it very sturdy. I was happy when i test fitted the armrest and saw that it did not have the protruding part in the back that I was trying to stay away from. Anyways, I bought mine from e-bay for $43.00 shipped and in my opinion it looks great. The only draw back is that they only come in leather - black, gray or black with red stitching (which I got). They don't have any that match the factory cloth. Here are some pictures of the armrest. Sorry for the watermarks in the pics, but the last time I bought something from eBay and posted it, the seller stole my pics without asking and used it to sell his products.

Ugly Armrest that sticks out (stay away from this one):

Looks good, from the pics the armrest plastic matches the OEM console plastic. Can you confirm? Also who is the seller on eBay?

That looks really good! Does it feel sturdy? I miss having an armrest, and that is a pretty good price. Was it easy to install?

Looks really good. Do you have a Base or Sport model? Does this armrest come with the kit to cover the hole made when you remove the oem driver's side armrest that comes on the Sport? Please provide the seller's info. thanks!

Installation was easier than I made it. I didn't even need to take off the whole center console (found that out after I already took it out). The armrest had 5 per-drilled holes and comes with the screws needed to attach it which made it feel really sturdy. Install time is about 5 to 10 min if you have the right tools (Screw driver, drill and pencil).
1. Put armrest in place and mark the guide hole points with a pencil through the pre-drilled holes in the armrest.
2 Remove the armrest and using a drill bit smaller than the provided screws, drill guide holes in the center console (on the pencil marks).
3. Put the armrest back in place and screw it in.
4. Enjoy

The color is dead on but it is smoother and does not have the same texture as the OEM one. You can't really tell once it's installed because the sides are covered by the two front seats.

The eBay seller I used was thejumbodepot, shipping took about 10 days; I looked at the return label and noticed that it came from China which is probably why it took so long to arrive.

I have the Sports model but mine did not come with an OEM driver's armrest. I have seen the kit to cover the OEM driver's armrest online though. The seller I used on eBay was thejumbodepot. I am planning to install Clazzio seat covers (black with red stitching) to keep with the theme.
