Saw this auction, which looks just like my stock light. Do we not have OEM LED third brake lights?

go look....

leds are more expensive than incandescents. safer because they light faster and are brighter, but not cheaper. it's a cheap car. perhaps you could also observe we have a rear suspension similar to an oxcart as well :P

Yes. Stock 3rd. brake light on GD's & GE's are LED. The eBay ad appears to be for either OEM or OEM-style lights.

Beg to differ. GD's center brake light is a regular filament bulb. Easy enough BB. Pop the cover and take a look if yours is LED or filament.

You may be right- I could swear that the stock light that I took out of my '09 to be replaced with the high-end "Fit" text LED was a LED, but can't find it. Probably threw it away. My memory of the stock light may be entirely wrong. Even with my old GD in installing the vinyl "Fit" decal I would have sworn that the light itself was LED just because it's a perfect place for Honda to use LEDs for the purpose, and to reduce electrical consumption.

Don't know about the GE ('09>) but on my GD ('08<), it's a filament bulb. BTW, I did replace the unit with an LED board.

Just a model mix-up T.

Yours looks good- I like after- market LED's much better than the stock 3rd. light. I was able to get one of the DaiLED lights from the forums member who was a dealer (and then he disappeared). My LED text light has a dash to the left and right of the text, and when the brakes are on, the dashes flash in alternating red and blue. It was expensive compared to the cheap ones being sold here by a ff member, but the expense was well worth the price. Mine came with its own circuit board and plug n play wiring harness connector. The cheap ones don't.

This is the guy who sold mine. I bought his first sample from the Chinese manufacturer. I can't remember this ff member's last name, but his first name is Alexandro, last name might have been Moreno, and he works (worked?) as a L.A. County Parole Officer. His Fit accessories were a side business.

My 2011 was LED. I have the "FIT" LED in there now It actually just overlays the original LED's. they are still in there, just disconnected.

The high-mount brake light is LED on my model.

Boogers was asking about GE's, not GD's, anyway.
