High RPM

Hey guys,

New owner of a 2007 Fit DX model (Canada). My problem with this car is I noticed that when I drive about 60-62 mph my RPM is at like 3,100. Is that normal ? Does it have an effect on fuel consumption. My mpg average is 28-30... which is not that great. I replaced the spark plugs but nothing better. No check engine lights on, my tire are all at 32 psi.

Max

It's a small engine, it revs quite high at highway speeds. It's nothing to be worried about.

Mine revs at about 2800-3100 RPM at like 65 depending on inclines, etc.
