It's not a full carbon fiber replacement, it's just an overlay.

I'll see what I can do about writing a simple how to. I'm not using a vacuum seal though, I really should have for this piece.

There's a company called US composites that deals in selling anything and everthing you'd need to do with carbon fiber and carbon kevlar in loads of colors and weaves.
