Get a police report, check with the apartment security, see if they can find out who came in and left... maybe they can help the po-po track down the perp.

I'd be wanting to kill someone, too.

Next time, get wheel locks... and probably invest in a sensitive alarm.

Makes for great gas mileage..

Sorry, couldnt resist.

Some people just need to be ......
at least I hope you got serial #s they will get whats coming to them.
Law of equivelant exchange: you take something something will be taken from you, you give and you will recieve. I am a firm believer in this law as I have seen it happen time and again, the only thing to remember is that to be better than whoever did the deed is to make you stronger in your heart and mind.

Someone either slid something across the front of my BOM Fit or tried to key it the other day. It resulted in a nasty scratch about 10 to 12" on the hood,
I almost exploded but then I caught myself and realized there was no one to take it out on, I compounded the car today and got the scratch out, really hard work but I enjoyed being able to do this myself and prove that with the proper motivation positive results happen.
Right now I feel that your perp is getting what is coming to him I hope I am right.

So sorry to hear of your loss, and I know the feeling all too well In 2002 some f'ing thieves stole my Civic. Luckly it was found the same day, but they did major interior damage trying to remove my MD player - which they could not get out, so they trashed the unit in place. They took my AEM CAI, and found the keys to my wheel locks. Fortunately, the mofo's were so damn stupid, they could not remove the locks with the key. That saved my Spoon rims, but there was some body damage, as well as a cut steering wheel and broken steering column. My insurance covered everything, including replacing my CAI with AEM's new CAI ver. 2 which bolts to the engine block (making it much harder to steal), new wheel locks, body work and interior work. Good as new.

But count yourself lucky that the thieves only took your rims... in my native Brazil, one of my cousins got car jacked at gun point... my aunt got robbed by two assailants with automatic guns, which then took her car too... thieves that want to rob an armored Mercedes, which they can't get into so they resort to hostage taking to force the owner of the Mercedes to give up his car. It's that bad down there, and getting worse. I'm glad here in North America it ain't as bad as that yet. Does your apartment complex have security video? If so, you can ask to see it, or if they won't let you see it, ask for legal help in this matter, get your insurance company involved in this. Good luck, hope you can recoup soon from this.

A few years ago my father was carjacked and had a pistol pointed to the side of his head - needless to say he gave up the CIVIC without a fight.

Man that sucks, although I've never actually seen that happen before lol.

You should get yourself a mercury level alarm where it can detect whether your car is being jacked up or not.
