Do any of you guys have the HPS-SHORTRAM-AIR-INTAKE?

I'm looking at intakes for my 13' Sport w/ NAVI auto. I could not Google any vids of interior at WOT 0-60. I'll listen to manuals too. I'm not really interested plan 1 in power but I'll take dynos to but love my Hondas to make me smile at FULL song... MMMMMMBAAAAH ☺. Get my point? I like to hear VTEC x-over happen. I know that's why my mpg goes down vs up with an intake. I keep wanting to hear as much as possible. If you have video or can make one in the next few day, thank you. Also your opinions after install would be greatly appreciated.

Thx,
Des

This is a 1st Gen if you again can read GD3. 2nd Gen is GE8. So none of these vids or Dyno numbers would help me would it? Awesome. Thanks.

I digress. I got the intake via UPS today.

The K&N filter is longer than the 3.5in long piping.. Not complaining. Just an observation.

You are right! My apologies! I'm sure a an HPS short ram on the GD3 or an HPS CAI on the GE8 will sound nothing like the sound of a short ram on a GE8.
MMMMMMBAAAAH ☺

Maybe the GD3 is MMmmmmmbaaaHHH.
Perhaps the GE8 CAI is mmmmMMMMMMBAAAHHHH!

Good luck on your findings.

I'm in hospital with a UTI. I have not yet. I'll be home be the end of the week. I'll post pix and vid as soon as it's in. Looks like I'll be the first youtu.be video on this unit.

HPS - Loud but liveable, can feel and hear the Vtec kick, not too expensive, responsive sale rep.

Want to put a 6" inside diameter filter on it with velocity stack down to 2.5" ID. Think this will improve the Vtec kick. My challenge is to find a filter like this that will fit in that tiny space.

A Vtec engine should not be strangled by a restrictive air intake. If the intake doesn't allow you to hear and feel the kick, it needs to be redone in my opinion. Admittedly, I am a little biased.

Think you will find the HPS intake makes your Fit a bit more torquey in normal driving and a screamer (in two ways) at high RPM.

Have fun!

Keep safe!

What length are you looking for with this air filter? I may be able to help.

Edit:
Get this air filter ---> Vibrant Bellmouth Velocity Stack Air Filter (Part #VIBVELSTKFIL-600) It is 6" inside diameter.

Add this piece ---> Vibrant Bellmouth Velocity Stack Part #VIBVELSTK-250 It is 2.5" ID.

I love building intakes. I've built all my intakes for my cars from Verocious Motorsports. I hope this helps.

Thanks a lot for this info. Kevin! Hope you have been well. Will need to take some careful measurements to double check this filter and velocity stack will fit.

Happy New Year!
